Learn to Fly Fish

BEGINNERS FLY  FISHING PERMIT ONLY £30 !! Inc. Tackle hire, one fish or 5 hours fishing (whichever comes first) on all our fly lakes.

If you want to carry on fishing after you have 1 fish, please pay at the office for an extra fish at £12 each

 Also includes 15 mins free fly fishing tuition on all Saturdays and Sundays between April and September at 10am.

You may wish to take the opportunity to enjoy learning the necessary skills, and correct techniques from a qualified fly fishing and casting instructor.

By doing this you will be avoiding the many common fly casting faults and frustrating experience by many fly fishermen/women choosing to take up the sport.

For the experienced or well taught fisherman/woman, one to one fly casting or fly fishing lesson provides an ideal opportunity to improve not only your fly-casting technique, but your overall, river or stillwater fly fishing skills.

Our qualified casting instructors are available for you to book for a minimum of two hours. The cost for this instruction at Tavistock Trout Fishery is £140 and this charge includes two hours tuition, full day 4 fish permit on all our fly lakes and hire of rod, reel, net, flies, line, priest, bag, net and glasses to protect your eyes. Free tea/coffee making facilities and a choice of complimentary biscuits are also included in our wooden lodge overlooking our stunning lakes.

If two anglers want to have instruction at the same time then the cost is reduced to £129 each. If three or more anglers want to have instruction at the same time then the cost is reduced to £119. EA licence needs to be purchased from the EA or a Post Office
