Full day 6 fish permit - including limited catch & release
Up to 3 fish or 3 hours (whichever is sooner)
on Little Osprey Lake only.

At the owner's discretion, another lake may be temporarily
used for catch & release.

All fish to be kept in the water while being unhooked and released.

COMPETITION ON 5th SEPTEMBER

OAP 2 FISH SPECIAL TICKET

Our OAP 2 fish special ticket will return due to popular demand Cost will be £15.50. OAPs can purchase a 2 fish ticket before 12 noon and fish for 4 hours.

DAVID'S MANOR

Work will start on our final Barn conversion during the 2nd week of March 2010. This will provide 3 beautifully appointed and very comfortable flats.

NEW MEMBERS OF STAFF WANTED

As the arrival of my new baby is due on April 1st, I am looking for one or two people to help with the work at Tavistock Trout Fishery.

Firstly I am looking for someone to help on a part time basis with the feeding of the fish, strimming of the banks, cleaning of the screens, serving the anglers and general fishery maintenance etc. I would also like the successful applicant to undertake basic maintenance of my holiday cotteges here at the Fishery. Hours depend on weather and time of year. Wage negotiable depending on experience.

Secondly I am looking for someone to look after the anglers on the occasional Summer evening. This involves weighing their catch out, before they leave and recording the information on Fishery return cards.

Christmas Competition Results

Christmas Competition Prizes held on December the 13th to raise money for Vranch House School at Exeter.

Top Fundraiser was Tony Spacey from Derby. Tony Raised over £3000 and this inc a massage chair! Thanks very much Tony!

The heaviest bag winner was Pete Davey from Lifton with 6 fish and they weighed 16lbs-6oz.

2nd was Tiger from Tavistock with 5 fish totalling 24lbs-10oz. Inc in Tiger's bag he had a 9lbs-5oz and 7lbs-12oz. Well done Tiger! Photo on "Fish Updates" higher on this web page.

3rd was Bill Wooten from Newton Abbot, with 5 fish for 16lbs.

10 lbs plus Brown Trout are being stocked regularly !

Smaller Brown Trout are too being stocked regularly!

All anglers are welcome to watch us putting some of our Brown Trout into the fishing lakes.

Regulars and visitors quickly discover that we breed and grow-on our own Trout for the top-notch sport of our fly fishermen and ladies too.

Mark has been kept on his toes replenishing our stocks in our 5 lakes on a daily basis.

Here are some photos we took of the re-stocking process.

	The big Trout are carefully transported from the on-site rearing ponds
They are in the peak of condition
	The fish are acclimatised by resting them in a large bin of water at ambient temperature
They are then gently released into the lakes
	Mark Carefully releases prime Tavistock Rainbow Trout into our lakes

Because of our regularly monitored stocking, anglers continue to catch top quality fish.

All our fly lakes are open 7 days a week, from first light to dark!

We now have lots of members of our own Fly Fishing Club from across the UK.

We hold regular competitions and circulate a news letter. If you would like to join and receive your free sew-on badge, please call me for further details. It only costs £ 10 per person per year.
