Fish Stock Rearing Programme

Abigail has now switched to her Summer stocking policy, as the weather has improved and this means even more fish are being stocked at any one time. Lots more larger fish are being stocked too, as Abigail has too many in her stew ponds. Wow !!! So get your rods out as an ideal time to fish a beautiful fishery.

JUNIOR LAKE

Our children's lake will be stocked with hundreds of Rainbow trout on Saturday 19th June, ready for the school holidays. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Our children's lake is open everyday until 5pm. For more details please ring 07970 608 890.

10 lbs plus Brown Trout are being stocked regularly!

Smaller Brown Trout together with excellent Rainbow Trout are also being stocked regularly!

All anglers are welcome to watch us putting some of our Brown Trout into the fishing lakes.

We grow all our own Trout on-site. That's how we can control the quality.

To ensure good fighting Rainbow Trout, we buy the fry when they are about 50 to the lb.

They are then monitored and fed regularly on "Top Quality" fish food, by our staff, who are expert at growing full tailed, hard fighting 'Trout'.

They ensure that the fry are good quality when they are delivered from a hatchery and that they have a constant supply of fresh running water, 24 hours a day, from the moment they arrive.

The reason we are able to produce so many Trout is that we have a constant supply of fresh water from the River Tavy, a lot of experience and a few "Trade Secrets".

When you arrive at the Fishery, you will see for yourself the amount of "Stew Ponds" that we have and also what sort of environment our Trout are reared in. This alone promises fish of Superior Quality and Good Taste. With all our stocking Trout on site, you don't need me to tell you how easy it is for us to stock regularly.

I now have a mobile 'phone number for last minute holiday accommodation bookings.
Should anglers wish to talk to the owner to ask about how the lakes are fishing etc please feel free
to call me day or evening. Sometimes my fishery phone is not answered and I would like
people to know that they can call me. A lot of people already call my mobile and that is fine.
